The three stages and ten rules of easing in Monaco

The easing of the current exit restrictions is expected to take place in the following 3 stages:

 

Stage 1: From May 4, 2020:

Reopening of 

• shops (1 person per 4 m²) (excl. Cafes, restaurants, hotels) 

• places of worship (1.5 m safety distance + mask) 

• hairdressing salons, beauty salons, etc. (with RDV) 

• private and public construction sites 

• continuation of take-away sales • resumption of CAM bus operations

Furthermore :

• Unchanged ban on cruise ships

• Private boats are allowed to leave the port again

• partial resumption of traffic at the heliport (private charter)

• Resumption of civil service

 

Stage 2: From May 11, 2020

• Progressive and partial resumption of school activities, prioritizing the exam classes and strict compliance with health standards, such as a mask requirement for teachers and students, no school canteen, class splitting, no physical education, etc.

• The planning looks like this:

05/11/2020: Return of the "Lycéens"

(Classes: 1ère, Terminal and BTS)

May 18, 2020: Return of the "Collégiens"

(Classes: 6ème, 3ème and AIS)

25.05.2020: return of the "Primaires"

(Classes: CP and CM2)

• All other classes continue distance learning;

• Kindergartens and the music academy remain closed

 

3rd stage: From early June 2020

The beginning of the third stage presupposes the positive development of the first two phases and only take place if health standards allow it:

Reopening or inclusion of:

• Restaurants and cafes

• casinos

• Exhibition halls / galleries

• cinemas

• sporty outdoor activities

• Beaches and swimming pools

• Sports halls

 

The 10 basic rules / requirements

 

- the general availability of disinfectant gel for the hands

- Regular disinfection of public passageways / passages

- Wearing masks is strongly recommended in shops and public transportation

- Gloves are not recommended

- Keeping clear (2 m) is mandatory

- Plexiglass protection is recommended for the cash registers in the shops

- These regulations will be checked regularly

- Visits to hairdressers, dentists, cosmetic institutes only with reservation (no waiting rooms)

- no meetings of more than 5 people

- no opening of sports facilities and playgrounds
