Concert Beethoven’s ninth symphony, followed by a diner at the Café de Paris

Invitation to the OPMC opening concert

"Beethoven's Ninth Symphony"
with the London Symphony Chorus

Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 6 p.m.
in the Rainier III auditorium

followed by dinner at the Café de Paris

We invite you to the opening of the concert season, to this very special concert by our Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Kazuki Yamada.

To get in the mood, the overture of Beethoven's only opera "Leonore" will be played with outstanding singers. Beethoven struggled with hardly any other composition as much as with "Leonore", which later became known as "Fidelio".

Then the famous «Ninth Symphony» will be played, qualified as music for the eternity! The last movement is the orchestration of Friedrich Schiller's poem "Ode to Joy" and will be sung by the famous London Symphony Chorus. It took Beethoven a good 30 years to actually complete this masterpiece.

After this unforgettable musical experience, we will meet in the Café de Paris for dinner together.
